Jason Shadday

Sacred Journey Therapist

Lightworker

Bodyworker

Jason specializes in Integral Bodywork (a unique form of Structural Integration Therapy) and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Having graduated from Sacred Journey Institute program, Jason is presently an instructor at the Sacred Journey Institute where he continues to practice his skills in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Miasm Release Therapy and Sacred Journey Therapy. At the present time, Jason is enrolled in the Chicago Feldenkrais program.

Jason came to the bodywork profession while persuing his graduate degree at the University of Chicago. Having sustained a serious and prolonged health issues with his knees (among other things), he was lucky to find bodywork as the catalyst that propelled him to healing and ultimately to his vocation… feel free to ask him the story!

Jason ShaddayJason’s ongoing interest is in the dual nature of the body structure, bodily and energetic and how these two combine and interrelate to make up the whole system. Jason sees no difference in robust physical or subtle energetic work – only in their intentional application and is quite comfortable working in these two seemingly disparate worlds.

Jason works with each person to create a manageable – yet challenging – space to allow movement beyond present discomfort and restriction into balance and integration. Jason views this particular modality as a laboratory, somewhat similar to an extended meditation retreat, wherein deep and superficial discomfort can be explored and re-evaluated with care and compassion. Jason works with the most presence and mindfulness to help people explore and bring to present awareness those difficult places of the body otherwise not able to be accessed alone.
